There was, however, a large entry of Shetland ponies and horses - Shetland pony results with the Grutness and Laaward ponies highlighted can be viewed here: Cunningsburgh Show 2007 – Wednesday 8th August First Show 2007 Grutness Chaldaw was very successful on his first show outing of 2007 today, Sunday 24th June. Myrna's grandchildren, Ailsa and Gregor Sinclair, were the jockeys and handlers competing in the Novice and Lead Rein classes of Dunrossness Riding Club's first show at Boddam playing field. Chaldaw is still learning the ropes as it were and today's performance was the gauge for his attendance at future shows. Thankfully all went well and the whole family enjoyed themselves tremendously, so here's to more fun at the remaining shows this summer. Well done to all three of the competitors! AILSA & CHALDAW
Ailsa and Chaldaw were placed third in the novice ridden class and first in the young handler. They also went on to take fifth place in the handy pony competition. GREGOR & CHALDAW
Gregor and Chaldaw took second place in the lead rein ridden and third in the young handler - well done Gregor! Many thanks go to Anya Risk for being Gregor and Chaldaw's leader. |
